Through a combination of unprecedented open-source Layer-1 capabilities: fast speed, global scale, powerful smart contracts, cryptographic security, low cost & instantly finalized transactions, and simple tokenization, the Algorand blockchain is a next-generation decentralized public blockchain network. 

We are proud to be hosting the "Bring your A-game" hackathon with a total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD to let developers and creatives come together and build the future of gaming. We are looking for innovative, funky games that bring the best game mechanics to fruition. 

There are four main categories for this hackathon with a prize of $20,000 USD (paid in ALGO tokens) per category:

- Game development tooling

- NFT-based games 

- Metaverse environments

- Play-to-earn games

### Game Studio Track

We are also hosting a separate game studio track that's only accessible to game studios and indie game developers. The game studio track will award each successful submission with a $250,000 USD bounty if they meet the submission and quality criteria. With a hard cap of four successful submissions (total bounty $1 million USD).

To give you some inspiration, we are, for example, looking for Unreal Engine developer tooling, NFT-based card games with funky mechanics, metaverse games like Decentraland or The Sandbox, and play-to-earn games like Axie Infinity. Get creative and surprise us with your creations!
