APOLLO

Gitcoin + Filecoin

On September 1st to October 15th, Protocol Labs + Gitcoin are opening our doors for the Ignite Incubator. It is an 6 week, invite-only program designed for Filecoin entrepreneurs and makers to help them build investable businesses. There will be opportunities for serendipity 150+ highly talented builders together to become pioneers of the Filecoin and Web3 ecosystems.

Gitcoin is co-creating APOLLO with Protocol Labs to support the Filecoin mainnet launch and help projects from Web3.0 that will be leveraging the features of this underlying tech to create an internet that is censorship resistant, user-controlled, and trustless.

We believe that it is important to have exceptional people, regardless of their background and nationality, work on addressing large global opportunities and challenges by building groundbreaking technology companies. With the success of KERNEL, we are highly motivated to provide the best experience for this cohort.

Projects participating in the event will receive expert-level training and support, in a fast-track program aimed at helping them obtain investor funding and product-market fit. Your ideas and efforts throughout the program will also compete for a generous investment pool: $150k to be invested in the best projects!

Filecoin is a peer-to-peer network that stores files with built-in economic incentives to ensure files are stored reliably over time. It is made by Protocol Labs and builds on top of the InterPlanetary File System, allowing users to rent unused hard drive space.

It's core vision is decentralized storage that serves as a data backbone that will break the bottleneck of data transfer in Web3.0 and Ethereum applications.
