To kickstart the integration of tez with Gitcoin, and the beginning of a new era of hackathons targeting the Tezos ecosystem, NFT me, you can DAO it a month-long virtual hackathon encourages all talented creators to help expand the NFT and DAO ecosystem on Tezos.

The hackathon features a total of $75,000 in prizes, to be spread among 10 winning submissions.

NFTs are currently a hot topic. On Tezos, NFT marketplaces like Truesy, Kalamint, and hic et nunc (a previous hackathon winner) have successfully shown how NFTs unlock new possibilities for artists and creators to share their work. As Tezos is a Proof of Stake blockchain, projects built upon Tezos do not have to deal with high gas fees and have a low carbon footprint. This means that Tezos NFTs are #CleanNFTs, so creators can prioritize innovation without compromising on sustainability.

Another focus you can choose to build on for this hackathon is DAOs, an important building block in the blockchain ecosystem. On Tezos, there are several DAO frameworks in existence, but we encourage everyone to expand on it! You can think about DAO frameworks that enable specific use cases, like Curation DAOs or a battleproof Minimal Viable DAO, ready to be forked and built upon over and over again. Additionally, tooling for DAO treasury management or tooling for voting like off-chain token based voting, are welcomed!
