Rich Decentralized Applications: Let’s Build The Real Decentralized Web!
fluencelabs
decentralization, web3, dweb, rust, c++, assemblyscript
## The Challenge
Build a fully decentralized DApp in one of two categories:
**Basic:** a simple app that’s using some of the Fluence capabilities. For example, a messaging/email app that has a frontend and stores message history in a Fluence-powered database.
**Advanced:** a complex app that’s utilizing Fluence to its full potential. For example, a [2D shooter with tokenized items](https://medium.com/fluence-network/hackathon-recap-projects-winners-tech-talks-and-more-ba5861218a7d#1726) using Fluence to power its backend or a full scale DEX.
For more information, resources, and examples, please see the [Bounties repository on GitHub](https://github.com/fluencelabs/Bounties).
Join Fluence hackathon [Telegram group](https://t.me/web3hack) or [Discord server](https://discordapp.com/invite/HECX8qF): we’d be happy to answer any questions regarding this challenge and Fluence technology.
## Rewards
The reward would be split between the two best projects (one per category, more funding goes to the Advanced projects). The total amount of the reward for this challenge is **$1000 in ETH**.
## Successful Submissions
To be eligible for the challenge your submission must include:
- A link to a live, functioning, and running instance of the app itself.
- A link to the repository with the app’s full code and a readme with a brief description of the app’s functionality. If the app consists of several components (backend, frontend) stored in multiple repositories, it should be specified.
We are happy to accept applications that are successful forks of other popular open-source apps, frameworks, or other developer tools since porting them to Wasm to make executable on Fluence would require some work to be done. However, this must comply with the license under which these apps are distributed.
Needless to say that your submission must be under an OSS license too.
Please specify the category for your submission.
## Judging Criteria
The winners will be selected by the Fluence Labs based on:
- How well does your app showcase the benefits of the decentralized web?
- How well does it serve its purpose? (as described in the README file)
- Does it utilize Fluence to enable new features?
- Is it fully decentralized?
- Could it be used by others as an example of a foundation for something bigger?
## Submission Deadline
All projects must be submitted before the 11:59 pm Eastern, August 15th.
**Good luck!**
