### Challenge Description
The challenge is to integrate Band Protocol’s oracles with the Agoric smart contract platform. This will allow smart contracts on the Agoric platform to connect securely to external data points and APIs through Band Protocol’s oracle feature.
Here’s how you would build a DeFi application on the Agoric blockchain:
1. Define a new IBC app protocol for BandChain messages
2. Define the necessary Protobuf
3. Deploy parser contract using JS w/ Agoric smart contract platform
We encourage you to build a DeFi application with a user-friendly interface and experience but are open to new types of decentralized applications that we haven’t seen yet!
**Be creative** - leverage Band Protocol to tap into all types of data and aggregate it your way.
Band Protocol can connect smart contracts to any open API to provide cryptocurrency or stock prices, on-chain metrics, random numbers, flight data, weather events, Ethereum gas costs, Bitcoin block hash and more! Don’t hesitate to reach out to the team if you’d like to connect to a custom API.
### Submission Requirements
You will need to work closely with both Band Protocol & Agoric teams to make sure the following properties are met:
- Implement contract on Agoric blockchain to use oracle data from Band Protocol in a creative fashion
- Connect the two blockchains through IBC
In addition, submissions must:
- Be open-source
- Have a working demo (strongly recommended) or an exceptional proof-of-concept which can be in the form of wireframes, landing page, prototypes or production code.

### Judging Criteria
The prize will be awarded to the submission that produces the:
- Best implementation of Agroric, IBC & Band Protocol’s oracle flexibility
- Most user-friendly DeFi or decentralized application
- Most innovative or creative calibre
